The Little Darling and Alexandria Junior Golf Foundation 501(c)(3)
A primary goal of The Little Darling Course and the non-profit Alexandria Junior Golf Foundation is to bring more young people into the game of golf. We offer a wide variety of youth programming ranging from golf lessons, golf competitions, and teaching opportunities to strengthen their lives and give them a safe and wholesome environment to enjoy. Strengthening the character of our youth drives stronger families and improves our communities. Delivering a better tomorrow requires delivering improved opportunities today!
Alexandria Junior Golf Foundation Mission
Our Mission
The mission of the Alexandria Junior Golf Foundation is to strengthen the lives of our youth and their families from all walks of life by providing wholesome activities and educational programs through the game of golf. Our objective is to help our youth build character and develop important personal values like integrity, perseverance, honesty, patience, and respect for others. We believe the healthy development of our youth will foster new generations of outstanding leaders and strengthen our communities for a better future.
The Junior Learning Center
With construction of The Little Darling Par 3 Course complete and scheduled to open in the summer of 2025, we are now turning our attention to building what will be an integral strategic component of youth development in the Alexandria area – The Junior Learning Center. The Junior Learning Center is being funded with tax free donations from charitable foundations, businesses, and individuals who share the same worthy mission of youth and family development. The Junior Learning Center will be the keystone in our quest to introduce more youth to golf while bringing families together for activities that will strengthen relationships and build a better community. Through generous professional support, Rob and Ted Thompson of CI Construction have been instrumental in helping design the Junior Learning Center to ensure the facility is cost efficient while meeting the myriad of needs we have for the structure. Pictured below is the current rendering of the facility:
